A Winter Thrill

My brother Roy and I ask Mom if we can go play in the snow.

She says yes, but we have to watch for ice.

We say, “We know!” and start getting the stuff.

We get the sled from the back room and put on hats and mittens.

I lace up my boots. Now it is time to go.

First, we throw snow balls.

Then, Roy and I sit on the sled and slide down the hill. After nine or ten times, we are cold. It's time to go back inside for some hot chocolate.

What a thrill!
