The New Boy

We got a new kid in class today. His name is Troy.

It must be hard to be the new kid. I say hi to Troy and ask him what he likes to do for fun.

He says he likes to race toy cars. When it’s a nice day, he likes to ride his bike.

After math, Troy asks where to find the bathroom, and I show him the way.

At lunch, Troy gets his tray, and I make room for him to sit next to me.

Later, we take turns on the swings.

By the end of the day, I have a new pal!

-------------------------------

Explain It

Now have your child answer a couple questions about the story:

  1. What happened in the story?

  2. What does Troy like to do for fun?
