Old Boots

My grandpa has a set of old boots. They are not golden. They do not shine. They are now a dull, brown color.

The laces are stiff and split.

But if the boots could talk, what would they say?

Think of all the dirt and grass they have seen. All the muck and mud.

Where did they go?

What did they see?

Who did they meet?

For now, I am too short to walk in them. But I told my grandpa to hold onto his old boots. They may be worn, but they still work well.

Explain It
