What will you have to eat?

What do you have in your hand?

Read It

In honor of National Deep Dish Pizza Day, have your child read the passage below:

Deep Dish Pizza Day

Today is Deep Dish Pizza Day.

Have you had deep dish pizza before? If you have not had it, you should try it some time. It has a thick crust and lots of cheese. And sometimes, they put the red sauce on top!

Let's talk more about pizza. Do you like your pizza crust thick and chewy, or would you rather have it thin and crispy?

What kind of toppings do you like on your pizza?

Do you like pineapple and ham, or mushrooms and pepperoni?

Or would you rather have plain cheese?

I could talk about pizza all day…

-------------------------------

Explain It

Now have your child answer a couple questions about the story:

  1. What day is it today?

  2. Can you describe what a "deep dish" pizza is?
