The Fish Tank

My fish tank is the best.

It has sand and pink rocks.

But the fish with the green fin is not well.

I dunk my hand in.

The fish slips away, so I yank my hand back.

I grab a net, and then I get her.

I think she has a thing stuck on her fin.

It’s a small pink rock.

I pull off the rock and drop her back in the water.

Now, all is well in my fish tank.

------------------------------- Explain It

Now have your child answer a couple questions about the story:

  1. At the beginning of the story, why is the fish not feeling well?

  2. What color are the rocks in the tank?
