Today we’re going to work on the “-it” sound in words like “sit” or “hit."

J jumps for it,

K keeps it,

V vows to get it,

W wants it, and

Now have your child answer a couple questions about the story:

  1. Find the letter your name starts with. In the poem, what did that letter do?

  2. At the end of this silly story, which letters got nothing?
