Today we're going to work on adding a "d" at the end of Magic E words. Remind your child that the Magic E still makes the vowel say its name.

Now on to the lesson…Â

Yesterday
Â
Yesterday was a fun day. Here is a list of everything I did:
I baked a cake with my grandma. We shaped it to make it look like a bunny.
I shot hoops with my uncle Peter. I faked him out and got an easy lay-up.
I played hide and seek with my brother Joseph. He looked for me first, but I am a good hider.
After lunch, I poked my sister and made her yelp.
I completed my homework and now my weekend will be free.
All in all, I would say yesterday ruled. I would repeat it again.Â
-------------------------------
Explain It
Now have your child answer a couple questions about the story:
What are some of the things the author did yesterday?
Who did the author play hide and seek with?
