Use Soap

Uh oh. I made a mess. I was drawing with a black marker, and now my jeans have a stain.

I get a rag and start to rub it.

If I don't get this stain off, my dad will blow a fuse.

So I do it again and again. I refuse to quit.

My uncle walks in and says, “excuse me, but what are you doing?”

After I explain, he starts to chuckle.

“What is so funny?” I ask.

“You will never get that stain off unless you use some soap.”

And it works! After I use soap and water, that stain comes out.

-------------------------------

Explain It

Now have your child answer a couple questions about the story:

  1. What was the problem at the beginning of the story?

  2. What happened at the end?
