Old Mister Grundy

Old Mister Grundy felt rich on Monday, but he hadn't a clue of what was about to ensue.

He argued a bit too much on Tuesday, and he started to come unglued.

He went to town on Wednesday, and got lost on Third Avenue.

He felt thirsty on Thursday, and needed a drink.

Fed up by Friday, he started feeling blue.

So where did he end up by the end of the week? In bed on Saturday, that Old Mister Grundy.

But when he woke up on Sunday, he was ready to do it all again.

-------------------------------

Explain It

Now have your child answer a couple questions about the story:

  1. What happened to Mister Grundy on Wednesday?

  2. What happened to him at the end of the week?
