The School Play

“Places, places, everyone!” my teacher shouted. “We have to be ready for our first show next week.”

We were practicing for the school play, but it was not going well.

The play was about space. We built a rocket ship to pretend to fly to outer space. Then, we blasted into the sky and passed the moon.

But it was all a disaster. Luna dropped her tools and the steering wheel fell apart in my hands. All the kids were confused.

We need more practice!

Explain It

Now have your child answer a couple questions about the story:

  1. Using details in the story, can you describe what a skunk looks like?

  2. What are skunks good at?
