Going to the Zoo

If I went to the zoo, this is what I would do…

I would zoom by the goofy rabbits and zip past the loony raccoons.

I would visit the baboons, but I wouldn't stay past noon.

I would go see the monkeys, just to perk up my mood.

I could stop by the otters, to see them have some food.

When it gets dark, I would listen to the barn owls hoot at the moon.

If I could go to the zoo, I would jump for joy all day!

-------------------------------

Explain It

Now have your child answer a couple questions about the story:

  1. Can you name at least three animals from the story?

  2. If you went to the zoo, what animals would you like to see?
