Today we’re going to work on the “-er” sound at the end of words like “water” or “sister."

Rhyme It Parents, read the following words out loud. Then ask your child which one does NOT rhyme with the others? dad mother brother ------------------------------- Say It Have your child point to the sound and say it 3 times: _er

Better Batter


Beth got a pat of butter to put in her batter,

but the butter was bitter.

If she puts that bitter butter into her batter,

all the batter will be bitter.

So Beth got some better butter
