Read It

Have your child read the passage below.

Yesterday

Yesterday was a fun day. Here is a list of everything I did:

  • I intended to read those new books, but I got distracted by some tv.

  • Mom limited my screen time, so then I started a puzzle.

  • After lunch, I pretended to take a nap.

  • In a game of hide and seek, I counted to twenty and then hunted for my brother. I spotted him sitting there behind the chair.

It was a good day. I would repeat it again.

-------------------------------

Explain It

Now have your child answer a couple questions about the story:

  1. In your own words, what did the author do yesterday?

  2. Did the author take a nap yesterday? How do you know?
